ADULT AND ADVOCACY
FORMATION PROGRAM

With today’s many upfront issues on injustices and inequality, the university yearns to ascertain that the academic community and its partners are well-informed and actively involved in upholding human dignity and defending democracy. The Advocacy and Adult Formation Program (AAFP) works on designing and implementing the Adult Formation Framework and Program where adult partners are given the chance to proactively join in advocacy activities in line with the Committee on National Issues and Concerns (CoNIC) and DLSU thrusts on human rights and democracy.

THE CALL TO STOP HUMAN
RIGHTS VIOLATIONS

COSCA, together with the Lasallian Justice and Peace Commission participated in the mass and ecumenical procession organized by the Purple Cross Movement to continue the call to stop the human rights violations being committed under the current government, and for President Duterte to conduct a State of the Nation Address that will focus on agenda that truly reflects the needs of the country and the Filipino people.

KAPIHAN NG MALALAYANG LASALYANO (KAMALAYAN) FORUMS

CONIC and the Lasallian Justice and Peace Commission (LJPC) invited the DLSU community to the KAMALAYAN forum which focused on the recent proposals for the Philippines to shift to a federal form of government, including the bill that was passed by the House of Representatives (RBH15) last December.

The KAMALAYAN forum was held on January 28, 2019 where experts served as resource persons, including Prof. Edmund Tayao of the Consultative Committee to Review the 1987 Constitution, Mr. Jerome Cruz of the Ateneo School of Government and Dr. Ador Torneo of the Jesse M. Robredo Institute of Governance. An estimate of 500 individuals the forum.
