The Bachelor of Arts in History program provides the students with an understanding of the broad foundations of historical studies and research through a critico-theoretical approach. Through the program, students will be trained to critically examine the political, diplomatic, economic, and cultural past of the Philippines and other nations, learn a foreign language, read efficiently and effectively, conduct historical research, interpret complex subjects, argue verbally in English and in Filipino, and write with force and clarity.

The program is an excellent pre-law course and ideal for those who wish to pursue a career in foreign service, academe, historical conservation, museums, government, publishing, mass media, and other professions requiring a deep sense of the past combined with effective communication, as well as analytical and research skills.
